We are now hiring an experienced and dependable Managing Investigator to oversee casework, mentor junior investigators, and ensure high standards of field performance in a designated city or region.

Role Overview

As a Managing Investigator, you’ll serve as a working team lead—handling your own investigations while also supervising field operations. You will ensure proper case execution, legal compliance, and investigator readiness across all assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct surveillance, interviews, GPS tracking, and evidence collection in complex cases

  • Supervise and support a team of field investigators, part-time staff, or contractors

  • Assign and monitor daily or weekly caseloads

  • Review reports, video/photo evidence, and ensure case quality

  • Serve as the escalation point for urgent or sensitive investigations

  • Conduct team briefings, debriefs, and case strategy meetings

  • Train new hires on investigative protocols and best practices

  • Coordinate directly with clients, attorneys, and senior leadership

  • Ensure all investigations comply with Texas licensing laws and legal standards

Qualifications

  • Valid Texas Private Investigator License (required)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in private investigations, law enforcement, or surveillance

  • At least 1 year of experience leading investigative or field teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Working knowledge of surveillance equipment, digital tools, and report writing

  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and field judgment

  • Must possess valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and extended surveillance shifts as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in family law, infidelity, or insurance fraud investigations

  • Tech-savvy (GPS tracking, video editing, mobile apps, case management software)

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

  • Prior military or law enforcement experience a plus
