Spouse Surveillance Investigation
Client Background
Silent Phone Lines and Vanishing Acts
A Houston husband contacted TJS Private Investigator & Associates because something wasn’t right about his wife’s daily routine. She claimed to be going to work every day—a construction-related job that should involve noise, machinery, and coworkers.
But when he called her during “work hours,” the background was silent. No construction sounds. No equipment. No voices. Just quiet.
Then came the bigger issue. A moving truck showed up at their house on September 10, 2025. His wife’s belongings were loaded up and taken somewhere—but she wouldn’t say where. She claimed she was renting a room from a cleaning lady, but refused to give him the address or any real details.
Her vehicle disappeared from their shared home. Her son’s vehicle was gone too. Phone calls became evasive—sometimes he’d hear children playing in the background when she claimed to be at a park, other times complete silence when she said she was working.
He needed answers. Where was she actually living? Was she really working? What was she doing during all those hours she claimed to be on construction sites?
He contacted TJS Private Investigator & Associates for comprehensive surveillance.
Challenge
Finding Someone Hiding in Plain Sight
The subject had moved out but wouldn’t tell our client where. She had a vehicle we could follow, but her daily patterns were unpredictable. She claimed to have a job, but nothing about her phone calls supported that story.
Our team needed to locate her actual residence, document what she was really doing every day, verify or disprove her employment claims, and identify any unfamiliar locations she was visiting. All while conducting multi-day surveillance across Houston without her knowing we were watching.
The investigation required following her vehicle to multiple addresses, monitoring suspected work locations, documenting where she actually was versus where she claimed to be, and identifying unknown addresses that might reveal undisclosed relationships.
For seven days, TJS investigators followed her every movement.
Investigation
Seven Days of Documented Deception
Day 1 – September 17
Vehicle registration searches led us to several addresses connected to the subject. We confirmed our client’s residence—his vehicle was there, but no sign of his wife or her son. We checked the other registered addresses. Nothing.
Day 2 – September 18
At 6:35 PM, the subject called our client saying she was walking their dogs at a park. In the background, we could hear children laughing and playing. Our client suspected she was at a park they both knew, but she wouldn’t confirm the location. We couldn’t verify where she actually was that evening.
Day 3 – September 19
At 7:38 AM, she called our client claiming to be at work. The background was dead silent. No construction sounds. No machinery. No coworkers. Nothing that suggested an active job site.
At 12:40 PM, our client told us she’d mentioned going to a car wash she visits regularly. Our investigators went there. She never showed up.
The work story was falling apart.
Day 4-5 – September 20-21
Our client provided photos of the moving truck from September 10th. We investigated the moving company but couldn’t track down where her belongings had been taken.
Meanwhile, her emails to our client were full of excuses—personal errands, vague explanations for extended absences. The pattern of deception was becoming clear.
Day 6 – September 22—The Breakthrough
At 12:30 AM, we found her. Her vehicle was parked overnight at a residence in northwest Houston. Her son’s vehicle was in the driveway. This was where she was actually living.
At 1:15 PM, we followed her to Memorial City Mall. She shopped for a bit, then returned to the residence by 2:28 PM.
At 5:20 PM, things got interesting. She drove to an address in northwest Houston that our client had never heard of. She stayed about an hour, then left for HEB at 7:00 PM. After grocery shopping, she returned to her residence at 8:45 PM.
That unfamiliar address raised immediate questions. Who lived there? Why was she visiting?
Day 7 – September 23
Morning surveillance from 6:40 AM to 8:15 AM confirmed she was inside her residence. Both vehicles were there. No movement. No departure for work.
She wasn’t going to any job. The employment claims were completely fabricated.
At 6:00 PM, she went to a shopping center, then back to her residence by 7:25 PM. Her son’s vehicle wasn’t there—she was alone.
Results
Seven Days of Lies Unraveled
TJS delivered comprehensive surveillance documentation that exposed seven days of systematic deception. The evidence told a clear story.
What We Documented:
Secret Residence Confirmed: The subject was living at an undisclosed northwest Houston address—not “renting a room from a cleaning lady” as claimed. Her vehicle and her son’s vehicle were both at this residence overnight and throughout multiple days.
Employment Claims Debunked: Morning surveillance showed she never left for work at expected times. Phone calls claiming to be “at work” had silent backgrounds—no construction activity, no machinery, no coworkers. Seven days of monitoring revealed zero work-related activity. She didn’t have a job.
Suspicious Locations Identified: We documented her visit to an unfamiliar northwest Houston address that our client had never heard of. She spent approximately one hour there. We also followed her to Memorial City Mall, HEB, and various shopping centers—her actual daily routine versus her fabricated stories.
Timeline of Deception: Phone calls claimed she was at parks, work sites, running errands. Surveillance proved otherwise. Her emails appeared designed to cover up suspicious behavior and unexplained absences.
Court-Ready Evidence Package: Photographs with timestamps, GPS documentation of all locations visited, complete seven-day timeline, vehicle identification records, and professional investigative reports meeting Texas family court standards.
Client Response: “Seeing that she wasn’t at any work site—that she’d been lying about having a job for who knows how long—that showed me everything I needed to know,” our client said when we presented the evidence. “And that address I’d never heard of? She’s living a completely hidden life from me.”
The evidence gave him what he needed for divorce proceedings. The surveillance proved his suspicions weren’t paranoia—they were dead-on accurate. His wife had moved out without telling him where, lied about having employment, and was visiting locations that suggested undisclosed relationships.
Our client now had court-admissible proof of deception, false statements about work and residence, and documented patterns suitable for legal proceedings. The seven-day investigation gave him the clarity to move forward with informed decisions about his marriage.
