Twenty-five years ago today, the world watched something unthinkable unfold. Towers fell. Smoke rose over lower Manhattan, over a field in Shanksville, over the Pentagon. And in the middle of all of it, something else happened too. People ran toward the danger. Firefighters climbed when everyone else was told to descend. First responders drove toward what others fled. Strangers held strangers. A nation, stunned and grieving, held together.
At Terrance Private Investigator and Associates, we have spent 17 years in a profession built on truth, on service, and on showing up for people when it is hardest to do so. September 11 is the permanent reminder of what that commitment can cost, and what it means to honor it anyway.
To the First Responders, the Families, and the Fallen
The badge, the helmet, the uniform. They are not just symbols. They are a promise.
They did not hesitate. That is what we carry with us today.
To every firefighter, police officer, EMT, military service member, and first responder who answered the call on September 11, 2001 and in the years that followed: we see you. To the families who lost someone that day, and to the families who have lost someone in the 25 years since because of illnesses connected to that day: your loss is not forgotten. It is not a footnote. It is the weight this country carries and should never put down.
To the passengers of Flight 93 who made an impossible choice so others could live: we remember you by name and we always will.

Houston has never been a city that stands still in the face of hard things. After September 11, Houston opened its arms. After every disaster since, this city has shown up. We are proud to serve a community like this one, and proud to stand alongside every person in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Miami, and Atlanta who carries the memory of that day with them.
Today we pause. We say the names. We look up at the sky. And we carry forward.
